Tentech Inc. Enhances ESG Management with Use of Fourth Generation Refrigerant: HFO

Tentech Inc. has announced on Wednesday that it is enhancing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) Management by using fourth generation refrigerant HFO.

Tentech Inc. representative said “10THERMA, which has surpassed 500 unit sales since its release, is the Korean first medical device that is equipped with HFO spray. 10THERMA is supplied with HFO refrigerant and has no issues until now. And added” HFO spray is able to minimize heat collision and prevent burns, so it plays a safety role of 10THERMA for the skin under the treatment.

Refrigerants are usually used for air conditioners, refrigerators, and cars. There are four main types of refrigerants. At the first, there is the first generation ‘chlorofluorocarbons(CFC)’ that called as ‘Freon gas’. Due to damaging the ozone layer, CFC had been banded from the world since 1987. And then, most of companies are using now hydro chlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs) and Hydro-fluorocarbon(HFC). However, developed countries like EU, U.S., and so on recently are regulating now the use of HFC and HCFCs because it caused the global warming. HFO, is the latest Refrigerant spray, is expensive but well known for ecofriendly refrigerant spray.

According to a statement by Tentech Inc., “We considered that our product with the aim of making it ecofriendly with ‘the sustainable development Goals’ on last year. For these reasons, we controlled our supply chain management for HFO Refrigerant spray under the released date of 10THERMA.” And mentioned “As a result, 10THERMA has been successfully distributed to the world beyond South Korea.”
