| Title | [People & Site] Dong-ok Han, CEO of TENTECH: “Targeting Global Markets with Customized RF Technology” | ||
He added, “Our ability to design and produce RF generators in-house allows us to provide customized solutions tailored to each clinic’s needs, which is our key competitive advantage.” TENTECH’s flagship lifting device, 10THERMA, is the first in the world to adopt a 5㎠ RF tip. Compared to competing devices, it reduces treatment time by approximately 20% while increasing energy delivery efficiency by over 25%. The system enables precise control by segmenting cooling phases and energy output stages, allowing optimization based on patient conditions and treatment environments. This level of customization is also proving to be a strong competitive factor in global markets. TENTECH aims to enter the global top 10 in the aesthetic medical device market by expanding into major international markets. Han stated, “The market is no longer centered solely around the U.S.; countries such as Brazil, Thailand, Eastern Europe, and Taiwan are growing rapidly. Japan and China are essential markets that we must secure.” The company is currently preparing local clinical trials for entry into the Japanese market. In China, regulatory approval is targeted for the end of next year, alongside the establishment of a local subsidiary. “In the short term, we will focus on Asian markets such as Japan, Thailand, India, and Russia. Mid-term, we will expand into the Americas, including the U.S. and Brazil, and in the long term, we will target the European market,” Han explained. “We will expand our presence with product strategies tailored to regional demand.” Regarding the U.S. market, he noted, “Although initial entry was slow after receiving FDA approval in December 2023, shipments have recently been increasing. Achieving success in the U.S. is critical for becoming a global brand, and we expect meaningful growth this year.” In the second half of the year, TENTECH plans to launch new devices, including 10REVIV, a microneedle RF device with direct spray cooling technology, and 10THUL, a 1927nm wavelength device for skin regeneration and pigmentation treatment. With specialized tips, 10THUL can also be applied to hair loss treatment. Han concluded, “TENTECH has secured global-level technology not only in monopolar RF but also in high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU). With our new products, we aim to become a global leader.” He added, “We will expand our business around two core axes—lifting and drug delivery—and broaden our portfolio across the entire medical device sector, including therapeutic lasers.” |
